About SoleSounds
SoleSounds is a breaking-based training program focused on foundation, discipline, creativity, and individuality. Through structured movement, students learn more than steps — they learn how to train, think, and grow. The goal is not only to build stronger dancers, but stronger individuals who understand repetition, awareness, and honest development.
SoleSounds supports students, families, studios, and communities by creating a space where breaking can be developed with care, structure, and long-term purpose.
Why SoleSounds Exists
Training Beyond the Recital Cycle
Many students want more practice time, but the usual option is often another full class commitment. That can mean another recital piece, costume, rehearsal schedule, and added pressure for the family.
This approach comes from years of teaching full weekly schedules, preparing students for multiple shows within short time frames, and experiencing those same performance cycles myself. Through that experience, I saw how performances can refine what students already have, but also how constant show preparation can limit the time needed to safely build new skills.
In breaking, new moves require repetition, strength, timing, and body awareness — they cannot always be rushed into a performance cycle. SoleSounds gives breaking students a different lane: focused training without requiring another performance responsibility. The focus is foundation, repetition, creativity, confidence, and learning how to train safely.

About Mr. Neil
Mr. Neil is a Bay Area breaking instructor and movement coach rooted in foundation, discipline, and individuality. His path in breaking was built through repetition, deep study, and a commitment to meaningful movement. He has performed, competed, taught, and showcased throughout California in theaters, schools, community events, and hip-hop spaces.
Through teaching, Mr. Neil found a deeper purpose in helping students grow beyond movement. His focus is not only on teaching breaking, but on helping students develop confidence, awareness, patience, and a stronger relationship with practice. His teaching is shaped by the belief that every student develops differently, and that strong guidance can help each student build confidence at their own pace.
Known for consistency, care, and long-term development, Mr. Neil believes the goal is not just better dancers, but stronger individuals who learn how to train, think, and grow.
The SoleSounds Approach
SoleSounds is built on the idea that strong movement starts with strong foundation. Students are guided through repetition, rhythm, creativity, body awareness, and individual expression. Each class is designed to help students understand not only what to practice, but how to practice.
The training emphasizes clean movement, safe progression, confidence, and personal identity. Students are encouraged to build skills at a pace that respects their body, their development, and their long-term growth.
SoleSounds is not about rushing students into tricks or copying someone else’s style. It is about helping each student build the foundation to move honestly, think clearly, and grow with purpose.
Soul to Sole
SoleSounds uses breaking as a tool to build people — through discipline, awareness, and honest movement. From foundation to freestyle, from repetition to individuality, the work is designed to help students carry what they learn beyond the floor.
